Broughton Street in the Afternoon

We went for a stroll on Broughton St. This street is located near City Market in downtown Savannah. This street is in the heart of the historic district. The area was booming when my grandparents and parents were growing up. When the first mall in Savannah was built in 1969 this area was no longer the main place or only place for shopping. Since the late 1990’s this area has been coming back to life. You will find some great restaurants and shops located on Broughton Street. Some popular events which occur on Broughton Street are Christmas parade, the SCAD Film Festival, St. Patrick’s Day Parade and SCAD International Festival.
